Dear Ferrell,
Congratulations! You have been selected to receive Shammah's Beanfield Award of Excellence.
This award was designed for personal web pages with original articles, but in your case I decided
to make an exception. Although your site consists mostly of links, it has provided such a great service to the rest of us that it has certainly proven itself to be worthy of this award. There may be other exceptions in the future, but right now you are the only one. As I have told you before, I consistently get more traffic from your link than any other links page. A position toward the top of your links is one to be much desired, and I appreciate the fact that you have listed re:thinking toward the top of your links to brethren since the first time you listed it. Your site remains the best known and most visited among conservative, non-institutional brethren. As you know, there is a battle going on today for the minds of men and women. In this battle, the
forces of good and evil are fully engaged. By the work you have done through your web site, you
have demonstrated your determination to take your stand on the side of good. This award is rare
and given only to those Webmasters that exhibit the moral excellence of Shammah, one of the mighty men of David, who stood in his own beanfield when all others had fled, permitting the Lord to bring about a great victory through him [2 Sam. 23:11]. To all who fled before the enemy, it was only a beanfield, not worthy of a “hill of beans.” But to Shammah, the beanfield belonged to the Lord and His people, and therefore he knew it was worth fighting for. Please accept this Award of Excellence as my genuine appreciation of the qualities I have preceived in your work. Thank you for a job well done, for making the Web a much better place, and, like Shammah, for standing in your own beanfield.
Allan Turner
This award from Allan Turner is greatly appreciated. I keep Allan's page prominently displayed among my links because it has a considerable amount of good, well written, original material. At one time I had hoped to add more original material to my Biblical Studies WWW Page as time permitted. The page has provided a good service to those seeking information on Biblical Studies. I will likely now continue to add any original materials to my new BibleWorld page. We will, however, provide links from this page.
