| Ferrell Jenkins - Professional Life |
To some degree every teacher in a small college must be a generalist and teach a variety of courses. The major courses taught by Jenkins include: The Scheme of Redemption (now called Epistles: Ephesians and Colossians); Introduction to Christian Evidences; Epistles: 1 Corinthians; Gospel and Epistles of John; The Book of Revelation; The Kingdom of God (sometimes called Prophetic Speculations); Work of the Preacher (2 Cor., 1 Tim., 2 Tim., Titus). The number of students taught is probably around 4000.
Jenkins taught a reduced load during the 2000-2001 year. His long-planned retirement from Florida College began at the end of the spring semester May 3, 2001. Since that time he returned to teach the Book of Revelation when Phil Roberts, his friend and colleague, was unable to teach.
Ferrell Jenkins has been an active member of the Society of Biblical Literature, the American Schools of Oriental Research, the Evangelical Theological Society, and the Near East Archaeological Society. | Web Page Philosophy |
The purpose of this page remains much the same. I had intended to include original material of my own but time constraints with teaching, preaching and touring made it impossible to do so. When I was able to secure my own domain at BibleWorld.com I determined to make it primarily a site for my own materials. Again, time has limited what I have been able to do but I hope to do more with it in the months to come, Lord willing.
It should be obvious that we do not agree with everything found on these pages. We believe that each person must read, reflect, accept or reject according to the Word of God.
The complete re-design and revision of the Biblical Studies WWW Page was made possible by extensive professional help from Jessica Harber Rice. Consult Jessica if you need a web page designed. Check some samples of her work at JHR Design!. The page has been prepared in Dreamweaver 4.
